Bonsoir from Paris!
Happy Sunday! Here are some tasty updates.
Today’s lunch. Yes that’s all butter.
Paris Day 11
Adam and I have been walking and eating and walking and eating and sleeping (kind of) and eating even more. I can’t wait to tell you about all the meals and culinary adventures we’ve had.
In the meantime, I’d love to share with you an article I just had published in Culture Magazine:
If you don’t already subscribe to Culture, I highly recommend it, and you’ll be seeing a lot more of my writing in it the next coming year 😎
I have used this month to gather inspiration, material, and memories. One thing I love about Paris is they will not bring you a check unless you ask for it. It’s typical to stay a while, quite the contrast to feeling rushed out the door to turn over a table back home.
This has lead to many unexpected 3-4 hour dinners. It’s been incredible. With this change of pace, I have been thinking a lot about the perception of how time passes (and especially the role food plays)and this new article dives into that.
This is our last night in Paris 🙁 But! More adventure are to come.
Tomorrow we train to Strasbourg for less than 24 hours to soak up all the Alsatian holiday wonder we can, then another train to Munich to meet up with my family.
I will return with many more stories, insights, and food memories.
Until next time,
Anne-Marie

A terrifying AI image to help us all rest knowing AI bots could never replace a real human artist:
This week the prompt was from Adam. He wanted it to be “two baguettes walking hand in hand in front of the Eiffel Tower”
This sucks. Those look like fish bags? Maybe go back and look at the buttered baguette photo. It’ll be a better way to end reading this.
