Cheese Books and Groundhogs

Happy Sunday! And Happy February! We made it! Things are movin’ and shakin’ over here, so here are some updates from the world of Trust Your Taste.

The Book is Coming Out!

This is the year! The countdown has started, and I am in full hermit writing mode.
As many of you know, I have been working on a book of cheese pairings inspired by romcoms for a little over 3 years. It has (and continues to be) a labor of love, and an educational journey.
I will be able to share more information and a pre-order link soon!
Since it is romcom month, I will be sharing a few pairings from the book in the next weeks, but until then:
It was a joy do do some deep dives on 11 fantastic cheeses.
Workshops going forward will include an official Trust Your Taste Journal!
The journal is a lightly guided place for you to keep your tasting notes, sensory memories, poems about cheese, anything! It even has a cheese log in the back with example descriptive words to help get you started.

Upcoming Events
Good thing February is a month of love and indulgence, because now the holiday spirit is very gone, and Punxsutawney Phil is predicting 6 more weeks of winter.
It’s peak cozy time, and for months (years, really) I’ve been watching and writing about romcoms and cheese, so we have some cool partnerships coming up for you to enjoy leading up to the book.

Cowboy Colostrum

I’ve had opportunities to put ads in here, but I view this newsletter as a sacred place, and I frankly will just never promote anything I don’t love or believe in.
I’m a dairy girl, so I’ve known the magic that colostrum can do my whole life, and now it’s starting to become kind of a wellness trend?? Which is very strange to me, but cool to see something going “viral” that isn’t a scam (and a breath of fresh air after years of dairy being demonized with fake information).
They haven’t paid me to put this in here, but I do have a discount code with them now. Theres a few companies popping up as this gets to be a bigger and bigger thing, and from what I’ve seen, they are the ones that know what they’re doing.
So if you’re interested in it anyway, you can use the code TRUSTYOURTASTE for 15% off when you checkout! I get a kickback from it, so it could be a cool way to keep this newsletter free for you all.
Cheese Hotline

2025 is all about being authentically silly and strange and putting that out into the world.
At it’s core, Trust Your Taste is really all about learning how to embrace your unique brand of weird…and we like to do that through cheese.
Enter the Trust Your Taste Cheese Hotline.
If you’re having a cheese emergency, or need a laugh, give it a call.
Until next time,
Anne-Marie
P.S. - Sunday Scaries
A terrifying AI image to help us all rest knowing AI bots could never replace a real human artist:
This week the prompt was “a cute groundhog being cozy and eating cheese in a cottage”
No imagination, not cozy, but at least it isn’t completely terrifying.
